Ted

"Ted" is a live-action/CG-animated comedy from the creator of "Family Guy." Despite the presence of a teddy bear who comes to life, this movie is not recommended for kids.

Genre: Comedy, Fantasy
Released by: UIP-Solar Entertainment Corp.

Movie Info: Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted. In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish...and has refused to leave his side ever since. --Universal

The Positive: I didn't think they can pull off a goofy premise about a boy who wishes for his Teddy bear to come to life but they did. The digital effects are flawless. Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis are appealing, but I'm not so sure about the teddy bear. And lastly, the movie is filled with laugh-out-loud crass humor for mature audience. If you dig the humor of "Family Guy," you will definitely like Ted.

The Negative: It's hard to buy a 'heartwarming' ending if 90% before that are raunchy and sometimes offensive humor.
