The Positive: James Wan has mastered how to build up dramatic tension and terror to the eyes of his viewers by filling up his narrative with truly terrifying moments. Matched with great performances, "The Conjuring" is effectively creepy as it manages to get the audience scream and talk back to the screen saying "Oh My God" several times. Scarier than all the Paranormal Activity franchises combined, this film is undoubtedly the best horror flick of the year.

The Negative: Familiar elements from various horror movies that we've seen in the last 3 decades are present in this film.

Memorable Line: "The devil exists. God exists. And for us, as people, our very destiny hinges on which we decide to follow."
